Delivered Long Beach 23/10/43; Walla Walla 9/11/43; Assigned 729BS/452BG [M3-E] Deopham Green 18/11/43; detailed mission to Hamm but later recalled 21/4/44, with Dixon Wands, Co-pilot: John Gatrell, Bombardier: Chas Lovewell, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Leroy George, Radio Operator: Dave Boyd, Ball turret gunner: Warren Hickey (6 Killed in Action); Navigator: Bill Wroblewski, Waist gunner: Chas Anderson, Waist gunner: Ralph Goschey,Tail gunner: Ken Seibert (4RTD but all inj); suffered from turbulence from another B-17 in foggy conditions which caused mechanical problems; crash landed Abbey Farm, Hoxne, near Horham A/Fd, Sfk, UK. Salvaged 24/4/44. LITTLE CHUM.
