42-94936 Lil Snooks

On February 3rd, 1945, on their 111th mission targeting Magdeburg, the crew of "Lil' Snooks" baled out over Strasbourg, Eastern France, after a flak hit. The pilot, 2/Lt Richard Wann, landed across the Rhine river, behind enemy lines and was taken prisoner by the Germans. The others landed in France, in Free French Army hands and were able to return to base.
