MACR 657.
It appears Freeman's data for 42-29798 in his "The B-17 Flying Fortress Story" has the plane number wrong.
The MACR (657) he mentions there has the ship's Serial Number as 42-5798. The book's entry for this number just says it was lost on the Kassel mission on 28/7/43 with no other details...
