Shot down by AA 1st Oct 43 mission to Wiener-Neustadt, while being flown by the Kenneth Matson crew. 6 KIA / 4 POW. MACR 5859. The 389th BG was at that time on TDY in Tunisia in support of the invasion of Italy.
