Assigned 367BS/306BG Westover 16/8/42; Thurleigh 5/9/42; crash landed Cowbit, near Spalding, Lincs., UK on training flight 2/10/42, with Lt Bill Ely, Co-pilot: Edwin Patterson, Navigator: Bill Huhlman, Bombardier: Bob Cameron, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Dudley Fuller, Waist gunner: Clinton Goller (6 Killed in Service); Ball turret gunner: Ray McAskill,Tail gunner: Bill Kellum (baled out 2 Returned to Duty), considered pilot error/structural failure. Written off.
