Assigned to the 313th TCG, 48th TCS, and flew from Folkingham Air Base in D-Day Mission Boston, Serial 22 to Drop Zone N. The mission was to drop parachute soldiers from the 82nd Airborne. C-47 43-15176 also flew in the 437th TCG in Serial A-29 on 17 September 1944, from Station 469, Ramsbury Air Base, towing Waco glider 42-19702 to LZ-W in Operation Market Garden. The C-47 was piloted by 1LT Ernest Dix and 2LT Herman Fox, Crew Chief Sgt Robert P. Marshall, and Radio Operator Cpl Eugene B Valdemi. The Waco glider was piloted by Flight Officer Arthur R Johnson.
