Take-off accident (class 4): Wednesday, 13 June 1945 @ 0749 hrs (Mechanical failure)



RAF Kings Cliffe (Station 367) (Runway 26) - England



Pilot: Capt Mont J Ryan



Pilot was taking off for a local training flight. About 1/2 way down the runway, the left tire blew-out.



Aircraft swerved to the left and was headed for parked aircraft. Pilot retracted his landing gear and slid to a stop.



Aircraft was stricken.
