'Acquired' in Sardinia by the 350th FG, 12th AF, became a unit hack of the unit in Italy, converted to a 2 seater, and painted with a sharks mouth and eyes, in US colours [Olive drab/Sky Blue], the serial was applied in the US style and position on fin.
Abandoned over the sea south of Bardia after engine failure 6th Aug 1943. No MACR or accident record, probably as it had been 'Acquired' and was not on their official books.
