Delivered Cheyenne 4/2/44; Kearney 16/2/44; Presque Is 28/2/44; Assigned 527BS/379BG [FO-R] Kimbolton 9/4/44; "Borrowed" by following crew (526th BS) who had not be assigned a bomber. Missing in Action Merseburg 13/9/44 with Larry Messenger, Co-pilot: Tom Marineau; Navigator: Melvin Halstead, Wounded in Action; Radio Operator: Grant Powers, Wounded in Action, repatriated; Tail gunner: Theo Goitein Wounded in Action, repatriated (3 Returned to Duty), Bombardier: Ray Seeman, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Ernie Duncan, Ball turret gunner: Oliver Gillies, Waist gunner: Ray Uhlig (4 Killed in Action); Raymond Seeman buried at American Cemetery, Lorraine, France. The other three KIA buried back in US. Flak KO’d two engines, dropped out of formation, headed toward free Paris, third engine hit by German fighter, crash landed Ferme de Daumont, Hatrize, NW of Metz, France; Missing Air Crew Report 8899. Salvaged 6/2/45. SNOW WHITE.
